Church Planting
Faith Baptist Church FBC was started soon after the Stephens' arrival in Cambodia. This church has now been reaching out to the people of Phnom Penh since 1999. In July of 2007, after 8 years of rented buildings and after much prayer and giving, the Lord provided the church with their own property and building. We praise the Lord for the faithfulness of the Cambodian Christians and their heart for sharing the gospel.
Village Ministries
Each month Tim, along with members of Faith Baptist Church, makes the trip to Kampong Cham province for evangelism and discipleship. There is a growing group of baptized believers in this provincial village who meet monthly for a time of worship and teaching.
In this same province, Tim also has the opportunity to teach English and Bible in a language school for high school students.
Sok Chea, a Bible College graduate and member of Faith Baptist, has felt God's leading to start a church in the province of Takeo. He moved to this area, close to the border with Vietnam, in 2005. He is now pastoring Love Baptist Church there in Takeo province and continues to reach the people of Takeo.
Leadership Training
In 1999, Cambodia Baptist Bible College was established through a cooperative effort of American and Filipino BBFI missionaries. The goal of this ministry is to train young Cambodian Christians to serve the Lord and to spread the gospel here in their own country and beyond. Tim continues to teach several courses each year.
In 2005, Tim was introduced to a group of Christian church leaders in Kampong Thom province. This group of leaders had a desire for further Biblical training. After seeking God's direction, Tim agreed to partner with Parkview Baptist Church of Palm Coast, FL to meet this need. He now makes regular trips to this province in order to provide sound doctrinal teaching and practical training for these Christian leaders.
